Poblacion Bajo, Zamboanga del Norte is headed by barangay chairman Hon. Venerando D. Moay together with his seven (7) councilors namely: Hon. Julieto R. Gabinez, Hon. Maricel B. Garingo, Hon. Ceriaco J. Sumalpong, Hon. Proceso C. Jimenez, Hon. Benito L. Patangan, Hon. Juan G. Ramos and Hon. Carlos G. Legara. The barangay secretary is Mrs. Anita S. Labiagawhile the barangay treasurer is Ms. China J. Arellano.
The barangay is composed of seven (7) puroks. Each purok has its own purokpresident to lead the community. For Purok 1, Mrs. Elsie C. Alumbro; Purok 2, Mrs. Catherine L. Soliva; Purok 3, Mrs. Cecelia S. Nances; Purok 4, Mrs.Quiliano A. Gabinez; Purok 5, Mrs.Relieta G. Sumalpong; Purok 6, Mrs.Judesa P. Anchez; and lastly, Purok 7, Mrs. Vevencia B. Patangan.
