Miscellaneous Activities Highlights: Barkada Kontra Droga Health Awareness Campaign

Team Bajo: Rising Higher, together with some medical students also assigned in Sergio Osmeña (from the Team Venus and Team Medisinai) were invited as resource speakers and facilitators by the Sergio Osmeña National High School (SONHS) and the Leonardo National High School (LNHS) in Josefina, in line with the high schools’ 1st Barkada Kontra Droga Activities held on November 15 and 19, 2018, respectively. The group successfully delivered interactive lectures and discussions regarding the health effects of illegal drugs to the high school students.

"Barkada Kontra Droga” is a peer-based preventive education and information program recently launched by the Department of Education (DepED) in partnership with the Local Government and Rural Health Units (LGU and RHU) to counter the dangers and ill effects of drug abuse.
