WHAT'S YOUR STATUS?

Malnutrition has been a problem of our country for so long and PoblacionBajo is not exempted from it. There are 39 barangays in Sergio Osmeña. Last year, 2017, PoblacionBajo is ranked 19th for malnutrition in whole Sergio Osmeña. Although, the barangay was not included in the top 10, there are still many who are underweight and severely underweight. 19 children were identified last year as malnourished. This year, 113 children 0-71 months old were weighed. And the result according to weight for age shows :

The Barangay Nutrition Scholar started the feeding of these children on October 5, 2018

The feeding is being held from Monday to Friday in the Day Care Center where kids enjoy the meals which were prepared by their mothers. The group hopes that at the end of their exposure, they will not be any more counting the number of underweight and severely underweight children because they hope that with their projects there will be no malnourished child in the future.
